What a darling family! Immediately upon meeting Jenn that day, I fell in love with her outfit, which totally makes sense because we own the same top. Keeping it classy by giving Wyatt a blue bow tie was perfect. It was a pleasure getting to work with Bryan, Jenn & Wyatt and I absolutely hope to see them again!

I tell ya, this little boy is extremely lucky. I took his mama's maternity photos also, and upon meeting Laeloni and Sean, the amount of love I saw between them was so heart-warming. If only a fraction of that love was given to this baby, he'd have it made. Even better though, he gets all of it and so much more. Also, his name is Maverick, so that's a pretty rad way to start out in life!

For a girl that goes nuts over taking photos of flowers, you can only imagine my love for the tulip fields in Washington. While not all of the tulips were in bloom when we went, we were not disappointed in the least.

I don't do weddings often, but taking photos for these two and ending up with such a perfect day, make me think it wouldn't be such a bad idea to get more involved in the wedding scene. I work with Mia at my "regular" job and she is such a sweet, wonderful person. She and Chris are such a beautiful match for each other. I love the simplicity of their day and it really was just about them. When you think about a courthouse wedding, you don't necessarily think anything special. As you can see, that certainly was not the case for them. The judge was spectacular and offered to take them up to the rooftop and oh my gosh, it was so lovely. See for yourself!

I figured I'd better get a post up from my last vacation before I leave on the next one tomorrow morning! Last month, I spent a couple of days visiting my niece in Denver, and then she and my sister accompanied me to Arizona for a quick birthday trip to the Grand Canyon. I fell in love with Arizona in the springtime. Driving through the desert was beautiful with all of the yellow flowers covering the hillsides and the weather was definitely nothing to complain about. The Grand Canyon was, of course, amazing. While I'm excited to cross it off my bucket list, I will most certainly be going back to do more exploring!

I would really love to do more in-home sessions like this one in 2017. I've known this family pretty much since I moved to Seattle. They were actually the first family I took photos of that had kids over the age of one, and helped me realize that family photography was something I could actually do and loved. I knew they'd be perfect for this type of session. I came over one morning and they made blueberry scones, which I happily helped them eat, played a little music, and had some fun with the GIANT pillows they use in place of couches (pretty fantastic!). Thanks Jai and Amy for being so awesome!

Living in Seattle has a ton of perks, and it's a wonderful place to be, but the one thing it doesn't have is family. While I get pictures of my nephew pretty much daily, it's nothing compared to being able to actually hold him and being able to get to know each other. Only a short 4-ish months before I can see him again... It's kind of weird thinking about a sibling all of a sudden becoming a parent, but Chris and Stacey both are naturals and it makes me so happy to show off their little family.

This session happened back in September, and looking back through these photos make me so happy. Paige is an absolute doll and anytime a kid has pigtails, I fall in love. This was my second time taking photos of Paige and we're pretty much best friends now. After this session, I got an email from her mom saying that the rest of the day Paige kept asking "Where Trish go?". How cute is that? She has such a cute little personality and I can't wait to see her and her parents again!

Easton got to run the show during this session and he did a fantastic job! He's one smart little dude and it was awesome getting to hang out with him and watch him demonstrate his knowledge. We enjoyed a lovely, sunny morning outside before heading back to their house where we did a fun in-home session, which was absolutely perfect and I loved so much!

You got to see Kristin's lovely maternity photos in the last post, and here is their incredibly adorable baby boy. Just look at that sweet little face! The super cute "oh..hello world" blanket was so kindly provided by some friends with a fun little business venture. Go check them out on Instagram @brightersideof ! Thank you Chris and Kristin for inviting me into your home and letting me meet this little guy!

This session does such a great job of again showing why I love Discovery Park so much, and this family just makes it even better. The guy in these photos is my new dentist and after chatting last time I was sitting in the dentist's chair, I was so happy to hear from them about taking photos! These were taken this summer when Kristin was obviously still pregnant, and she looked fantastic! A newborn blog post will be posted so very soon!

The photo of Makenna just chilling in her daddy's arms is one of my favorite photos I've taken. The beard, the tattoos, and Makenna's facial expression are just such a perfect combination. Also, how cute is she in that pineapple hat? I'm so glad I met this family and can't wait to see them all again.

Sunset, Puget Sound and a happy, loving family--combine all of those things and you can't go wrong during a photo session. These guys were so much fun to work with and Brandi was looking gorgeous with her baby belly! The little guy, Tristan, was a wonderful ball of energy! He's expecting a little sister in the next couple weeks and I can't wait to meet her!

This was the second time taking photos for this beautiful family this year. The first time was when Amanda was just starting to show, and then these with her super cute baby belly. She braved the bare belly and looked amazing showing it off! Their daughter Avery is a gem and I love how less shy she was this time around and that I got to see so much more of her personality. I'm so excited to see them once again as soon as their second little girl arrives. She's due any day now!

These beautiful people are amazing, plain and simple. Kate and I have been friends for a few years and it makes me so happy to see that she has found her person. They compliment each other so well and the love that I got to witness on their wedding day was incredibly special. The day was absolutely perfect and I feel incredibly blessed to have gotten to be the person to document all of it.

Thank so much to Bethany and Brian for inviting me into their home to capture the love surrounding the newest addition to their family, Clara. She was super sweet and I loved getting to hang out with her for that small amount of time. The thing that made me feel most accomplished this day though-- getting Jack to give me a winning smile at the very end. He wasn't super excited about it being picture day, but I got him to show off those teeth in the end!

I got to meet these blonde babes and their parents right before they moved to Idaho, and I'm very glad I did! The summer light treated us incredibly well this day and Discovery Park came through once again. I never get sick of taking photos there. I'm madly in love with Charlotte's pretty little white dress and Emmette's hair that can't help but stick straight up. I hope you guys are enjoying life in your new home!

38 weeks pregnant and Sonia looked absolutely amazing. I just can't get over how perfect she looks in every one of these photos. I work with her husband's brother, whose family is nothing short of fantastic. When they contacted me last minute, knowing Michael's brother, I knew they would be lovely people and needed to help them out. Richmond Beach is one of my new favorite places in Seattle and I will definitely be back. And the sunset! Man oh man, we got a good one with some really cool wispy clouds. I hope these two are enjoying parenthood and there daughter is definitely one lucky little girl!

Emily is the mama of this big, happy family, and I admire her so much. We met at a photography class and she has since proven to be one of the sweetest people I know. She is also a photographer and when another photographer asks you to take their family photos (not just once, but a second time), it's a little scary at first (am I going to do a good enough job?), but also a really good feeling. These are the easiest kids to get to smile, but the bubbles just made the smiles even bigger. It's such a pleasure knowing this family and Emily has been so wonderful and supportive of the business I've been trying to create. I look forward to seeing these kids continue to grow and how their relationships with each other develop. Coming from a family of five kids myself, I have no idea how my parents did it, but I can't imagine growing up any other way.
