Emme was another one of my newborns and she's turning into such a delightful little lady. She's such a smiley, happy girl, with the exception of when her dog gives her too many kisses. Her family just moved to Spokane so they wanted to make sure to document some memories in their home one last time. I'm so glad to have been able to see this family again before they made their big move!

It's hard to believe how much time has gone by since I moved to Seattle. Jesse and Juliana have been wonderful friends to have and I can't imagine living in this city without knowing them. Their kids continue to amaze me with how smart and adorable they are, and I love that I will likely never be known as anything other than "Auntie Trish". Grammy (aka Priscilla) was visiting from Wyoming and Wesley was turning the big ONE, so it was a perfect time for a photo session!

This kid and his dimples! He has such an infectious smile and it makes my heart melt. It has been awesome getting to watch Andrew grow and be part of his life. We had some beautiful fall colors and gorgeous light for his one year photos!

All those one year olds out there need to learn from Andrew. He was an expert at smashing his cake and got good and messy. Keep an eye out for his "official" one year photos!
Read MoreYogi, Alison & Thatcher
I took photos of Thatcher when he was a newborn and it's always such a wonderful thing when I get to see my newborns again a year later. I love getting to see how they've changed and how they've all only gotten cuter. Thatcher is such a perfect mix of his parents. If you ignore the crazy wind we got to deal with, it was a gorgeous setting. Rattlesnake Lake was on my list of places to do photos for quite a while, and it was just as pretty as I hoped it would be.

I met the goofy and adorable Keegan at a photo shoot I did with Fort Boards (www.fortboards.com, check them out!) and I'm so happy that turned into getting to take photos for him and his parents. If you pay attention, you'll notice throughout the session, Keegan is carrying around a bunch of leaves, sticks and pine cones. It took a lot of convincing at times that he should put them down temporarily, and his sharp little mind never failed to remember he needed to grab them every time we moved on to a new spot. He's such a funny and awesome kid!

What a darling family! Immediately upon meeting Jenn that day, I fell in love with her outfit, which totally makes sense because we own the same top. Keeping it classy by giving Wyatt a blue bow tie was perfect. It was a pleasure getting to work with Bryan, Jenn & Wyatt and I absolutely hope to see them again!

I would really love to do more in-home sessions like this one in 2017. I've known this family pretty much since I moved to Seattle. They were actually the first family I took photos of that had kids over the age of one, and helped me realize that family photography was something I could actually do and loved. I knew they'd be perfect for this type of session. I came over one morning and they made blueberry scones, which I happily helped them eat, played a little music, and had some fun with the GIANT pillows they use in place of couches (pretty fantastic!). Thanks Jai and Amy for being so awesome!

This session happened back in September, and looking back through these photos make me so happy. Paige is an absolute doll and anytime a kid has pigtails, I fall in love. This was my second time taking photos of Paige and we're pretty much best friends now. After this session, I got an email from her mom saying that the rest of the day Paige kept asking "Where Trish go?". How cute is that? She has such a cute little personality and I can't wait to see her and her parents again!

Easton got to run the show during this session and he did a fantastic job! He's one smart little dude and it was awesome getting to hang out with him and watch him demonstrate his knowledge. We enjoyed a lovely, sunny morning outside before heading back to their house where we did a fun in-home session, which was absolutely perfect and I loved so much!

This was the second time taking photos for this beautiful family this year. The first time was when Amanda was just starting to show, and then these with her super cute baby belly. She braved the bare belly and looked amazing showing it off! Their daughter Avery is a gem and I love how less shy she was this time around and that I got to see so much more of her personality. I'm so excited to see them once again as soon as their second little girl arrives. She's due any day now!

I got to meet these blonde babes and their parents right before they moved to Idaho, and I'm very glad I did! The summer light treated us incredibly well this day and Discovery Park came through once again. I never get sick of taking photos there. I'm madly in love with Charlotte's pretty little white dress and Emmette's hair that can't help but stick straight up. I hope you guys are enjoying life in your new home!
Read MoreSam, Natalie & Billie
Billie was another one of my newborns and this was my THIRD time taking photos of her! She was really the one that made me fall in love with doing newborn sessions. She was the sleepiest newborn ever and made my job so easy. She continues to be fantastic and is just as pretty as she was the first time I met her! We took a trip to the zoo and the rose garden, and I think her parents and I had more fun then she did-- it was really all just a front so we could ride the carousel and eat cotton candy!

This was my second time photographing this family this year and I'm so glad they returned for more photos! Little Logan was one of my newborns and it was so fun seeing him again a few months later. His big sister, Sairyn, is just a whole bunch of adorable. She insisted on having a picnic. Luckily, she was an easy one to please and her definition of a picnic was just laying a blanket on the ground. I had such a good time spending a sunny, summer morning with them!
Read MoreLyla visits Seattle
I might be a little biased, but pretty sure this is the cutest baby I've ever taken photos of. I get to say that because she's my niece. These photos were taken back in April when Lyla came to visit me in Seattle, and I figured I better get them posted before we take more when she comes to visit this week! I can't wait to see this little bugger, now seven months old, and hear her infectious little laugh in person!

Oh, Andrew, you are these sweetest kid. Every time I see Andrew, or should I say Andrew sees me, he gets the biggest grin on his face, and it melts my heart over and over again. He's going to be such a heart breaker when he gets older smiling and flirting with all of the girls like that. Andrew was one of my newborns and it's so fun to see him change and grow into a little man. His parents, two people I'm very happy to call friends, are amazing, beautiful individuals inside and out. THANK YOU Becky & Adam for continuing to put your faith in me and letting me take photos of such an adorable kid!
Read MoreBrant, Ellen & Phineas
I'm so excited to share these photos for so many reasons! 1. Just look at that handsome little man! Phineas is going to be breaking hearts when he gets older, especially if he keeps up with that style. 2. Discovery Park. I think every photographer in Seattle is enormously grateful we have such a beautiful setting smack dab in the middle of our city. 3. Gorgeous morning light. 4. So much love and plenty of it to go around for the next little one they'll be welcoming in October! Ellen is incredibly talented with her knitting skills and I was blown away by the socks she made for the birth announcement photos!
Thank you guys so much for getting up in the morning to meet me and catch that golden light!
Anthony, Amanda & Avery
This incredible family wanted something "Seattle-ish" and I think we definitely accomplished that! The waterfront downtown might be my new favorite place for photos! The cloudy evening only brought out the Seattle aspect more and I love how the overall look of the shoot turned out. And doesn't Avery have the cutest smile? She was such a doll and she is going to make an amazing big sister come October! Congrats again you guys!
Read MoreBruce, Deb & Lily
This session is definitely at the top of my list of favorites! I was told Lily was a very serious kid, but that didn't last long. We started out in their home and then went for a little walk around the neighborhood to a nearby park and Lily's seriousness quickly disappeared! I obviously love all of the sessions I do, but when it's close to home and kids are familiar with their surroundings, their personalities really shine and they are so much fun! As you can tell from the last photo, we were the best of friends by the end of the session. :) It was a lovely spring day, and it was girl scout season so cookies made it even better! Thank you so much Bruce and Deb for getting in touch with me! It was an absolute pleasure spending time with you and Lily!

This session was special because it was all about the grandparents and grandkids! Jeff and Kristy were kind enough to invite me into their beautiful home and I loved being able to photography the special bond between them and the kids.
